The Toro Company has announced it recently laid off 100 workers globally and local spokespeople affirmed that an unspecified number of employees in Windom were impacted.

Demand had previously been exceptional, according to Toro officials. Factors cited for the recent downturn included inflation, an uncertain economy, rising interest rates and unfavorable weather patterns.
