Windom officials study options for ‘rough’ 10th Street

The city of Windom is working to decide which street repair projects are possible and will become a priority, as there are many needs and only limited resources available.

The project currently at the top of the list is labeled the Tenth Street/River Road Reconstruction Project. This is a popular stretch of road that Windom Mayor Dominic Jones recently characterized as “in pretty rough condition” and the proposed rebuild runs west through downtown on Tenth Street, past the hi-rise towers where the road curves and becomes River Road, and then northwest as far as the intersection of 13th Avenue, which was just repaved this summer.

The proposed estimated cost of this road project is close to $5.7 million.
