Elizabeth Wiemann

Elizabeth Christina Wiemann was born September 29, 1924, to Peter and Anna (Nagel) Boss, at Brentford, South Dakota. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Stratford, South Dakota. After graduating from Brentford High School, she attended Northern State Teacher’s College in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

While teaching in Watertown, South Dakota, she met and married Henry Wiemann on August 16, 1949. They had two children, Christine and Paul. The family made their home in Watertown, until 1962, when they moved to Windom, Minnesota, where Elizabeth was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Elizabeth then chose to stay at home with her children and was a substitute teacher.

On Thursday, October 19, 2023, Elizabeth passed away at the age of 99, at Good Samaritan Society- Sogge Memorial in Windom, Minnesota.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Christine and Steve Erickson of Windom; son, Paul and Kathy Wiemann of Arvada, CO; grandsons, Andrew (Alisha) Erickson and David Erickson (Roxanne and her children, Ruby and Harlan); great-grandson, James Erickson of Windom; and all who called her “friend”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank; parents, Peter and Anna Boss; and in-laws, Henry and Martha Wiemann.

A Celebration of Life Service was held Friday, October 27th at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, followed by burial at Lakeview Cemetery, in Windom.

Elizabeth passed away on Thursday, October 19th at Good Samaritan Society- Sogge Memorial.
