TUESDAY CROSS COUNTRY: Eagles run at Adrian

Dragon Invite

The Windom boys finished third and the girls ran incomplete at the Dragon Invitational, held Tuesday in Adrian.

Windom’s boys scored 88 points. Luverne won the meet with 40 points.

Luverne also won the girls team title with 42 points.

The Eagle boys were without one of their top runners, as senior Thomas Green has been out of action after an emergency appendectomy.

Aaden Nauman turned in a runner-up time of 16:52, followed by Charlie Smith in ninth place (17:49). Bryce Green was 16th (18:12), followed by Braylen Lyons in 27th (18:52) and Isaac Bordewyk in 34th (20:18).

The Eagle girls’ lone runner at Tuesday’s meet was Jesselle Sosa, who finished 43rd (24:53).

Buc Invite

Mt. Lake Area swept the team titles at the Buc Invitational, held Tuesday at the Winnebago Country Club.

MLA’s boys finished with 35 points. Fairmont took second with 53.

The Wolverine girls finished with 39 points. Fairmont was second with 54.

Individually, MLA’s boys had four top-10 finishers, led by individual champion Kody Wassman’s time of 16:27. Zach Klassen finished third (17:18), followed by Tyrone Stout in fourth (17:23), Ethan Schroeder in seventh (17:46) and Joseph Torres in 20th (19:08).

MLA’s girls were paced by Meghan Johnson’s fourth-place time of 21:37. Julia Brinkman placed sixth (22:09), followed by Lydia Rete in seventh (22:27), Hannah Beyer in eighth (22:42) and Celia Vogel in 14th (23:38).
