Tegels Park and the new Lions Club Pavilion were a beehive of activity recently as the community celebrated Windom’s new Lions Club Pavilion.
The evening started with a ribbon cutting, followed by a pork chop dinner, served by the Lions Club and then an evening of music by the band Neon Knights.
The Lions Club raised thousands of dollars and volunteers put in hundreds of hours of work to make the building a reality. The building is estimated at a value in the range of $250,000 to $300,000, and work to finish the restrooms, kitchen and door installation has recently been completed.
The Lions Club Pavilion is being donated to the city of Windom for the benefit of the community.
