Red Rock Central is a school with a rich history of both individual and team sport success and in late September they will finally be able to recognize some of those teams and individuals who the current students strive to be like with their first ever Hall of Fame ceremony.
A new school is under construction but the Hall of Fame will carry the legacy of former years and facilities forward.
Brett Bartholomaus serves as the non-voting chairman of a HOF board that has 10 members. The teacher is the activities and athletic director at Red Rock Central and has been in that role for three years. He is an assistant football coach and head wresting coach, and has taught health and physical education for over a decade.
Bartholomaus had the HOF as a goal since taking over as AD and he is pleased to reveal that Red Rock Central has eight inductees set to be introduced in the first class this fall. There will be seven individual players or coaches and one team that were chosen as first-ballot hall of fame members from a school with many gifted teams and individuals.
Please see the Sept. 13 edition of the Citizen for more details.
