Lions Meet
Mt. Lake Area’s boys finished fifth and the girls were seventh, while the Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin boys ran incomplete and the girls took 13th at the Lions Meet, held Tuesday at Baylor Park in Norwood.
MLA’s boys finished with 159 team points. Belle Plaine won the meet with 35 points.
The MLA girls scored 232 points. MCWBO had 330 points. Mankato West won the meet with 67 points.
MLA’s boys were led by Kody Wassman, who turned in a third-place time of 16:30. Zach Klassen finished 10th (16:57), followed by Ty Stout in 16th (17:18), Ethan Schroeder in 36th (17:45) and Joseph Torres in 101st (19:34).
The Wolverine girls were led by Meghan Johnson in 24th place (21:14). Lydia Rete finished 52nd (22:40), followed by Julia Brinkman in 57th (22:48), Katie Johnson in 59th (22:49) and Celia Vogel in 67th (22:59).
The MCWBO boys were led by Ryan Pierson’s runner-up time of 16:22. Grant Koehnen placed 29th (17:34), followed by Hayden O’Conner in 156th (22:22) and David Taylor in 162nd (23:49).
The MCWBO girls were led by Katie Hartke, who finished in 11th place (20:39). Katelynn Kennedy was 63rd (22:57), with Maddison Lyon in 81st (23:57), Hannah Cole in 101st (25:38) and Eva Miranda in 113th (26:44).
