The Windom Eagle volleyball team seized momentum in the third set and never let it go Thursday night, claiming a 3-1 victory at Worthington.
After controlling the opening set 25-12, the Eagles struggled in set two, falling 25-20. But the Eagles rebounded behind a strong service performance, winning the third set 25-14 and closing out the match 25-20.
Anja Nielsen had five aces on 13-of-18 serving. Addison Colbert was 16-of-16 with four aces and Hannah Dauer was 19-of-19 with two aces.
Tristyn Maras led the offense with 15 kills. Dauer added 10 and Leah Hauge had nine.
Charlee Huska finished with 21 set assists. Kadyn Paulson had 19 digs.

Red Rock Central stumbled at the start Thursday night and never fully recovered, dropping a 3-0 decision to Cedar Mountain at Lamberton.
The Cougars raced to a 25-11 win in the opening set, then blitzed the Falcons 25-4 in set two before RRC battled back in set three before ultimately falling 26-24.
Addison Irlbeck was 10-of-11 serving for the Falcons and added five set assists. Paige Wondercheck had a team-high five kills. Maia Scheffler had 17 digs.
