The Big South Conference announced Wednesday that it will be adding another school in the fall of 2024.
Belle Plaine had announced it had accepted the invitation from the BSC to become the league’s 15th school.
Enrollment-wise, Belle Plaine will be the seventh-largest school in the conference.
Belle Plaine’s extra-curricular programs include football, volleyball, cross country, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, boys and girls track and boys and girls golf. Belle Plaine also cooperatively fields programs in boys and girls soccer with Jordan, wrestling with Jordan and boys and girls hockey with St. Peter and LeSueur-Henderson.
Belle Plaine also has band, choir, one act play, speech, robotics and clay target programs.
It will come into the conference at the same time as Tri-City United, which announced last spring it would join the BSC in the fall of 2024.
