Matthew Vock and his wife Ashley came to Windom from California and have taken over the operation of the family shoe store after his father Frank decided to retire.
Frank and his wife Laurie ran the business as a team for decades, and Matt and Ashley say that they are very much following in that tradition as they took over on June 1.
Frank says he bought the business in rough times over 40 years ago.
