A tight back-and-forth match came down to the very end Thursday night, with Southwest Christian scoring the final points late to claim a 3-2 victory at Windom.
SWC won the first set in tight fashion, but Windom battled back to win set two. After falling in set three, Windom regrouped, rallying late to win the fourth set.
But errors on Windom’s part proved difficult to overcome. Windom had nearly a full set’s worth of points allowed on hitting errors in the match, with 51 kills to 24 errors.
Anja Nielsen was 15-of-16 serving with three aces. Hannah Dauer went 26-of-28 with two aces.
Tristyn Maras finished with 18 kills and three solo blocks. Dauer added 14 kills and Addison Colbert had nine kills.
Charlee Huska had 27 set assists. Nielsen added 16 assists. Kadyn Paulson finished with 22 digs.

Red Rock Central’s offense never got on track Thursday as the Falcons dropped a 3-0 decision in Lamberton to Renville County West.
The Jaguars controlled the first two sets, winning each 25-10 before winning set thee 25-16.
Mercedes Myers and Kayla Weis each had three kills in the loss. Natasha Erickson had four set assists and Maia Scheffler finished with 13 digs.
