Hospital leaders roll out funding plan for building project

The governing board of Windom Area Health met on Thursday and approved a recommendation to the city council which will ask for a revenue bond of $20 million to be sent out by the city for bids.

The proposed new building would take the place of the current clinic, and be four-stories high. Each of the floors would contain 14,250 square feet of floor space, so 57,000 square feet is the overall space available. The overall estimated cost of medical building is $30 million, but WAH says they have $10 million in cash to contribute, so they will seek a loan for $20 million.
