At Tuesday’s special meeting, Cottonwood County Commissioners heard a report on issues with the stairs at the east and west entrances to the courthouse.
Blocks from beneath the cement platforms by the east and west entrances have been falling into the boiler and storage rooms and beams have started to heave through the pavement.
Currently, the east entrance to the courthouse is closed. The west entrance remains open, but issues seen on the east side of the building are in early stages on the west side.
