Lee Severson

A Celebration of Life Service for Lee Severson, age 55, of Windom, MN, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sat., Aug. 26, 2023, at the American Lutheran Church in Windom with Pastor Sarah Larsen Tade officiating. A burial will be held in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Windom.

A time of visitation and gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at the American Lutheran church in Windom. The service will be livestreamed on the American Lutheran Church Facebook page and YouTube Channel.

Arrangements are under the care of the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom. Condolences and memories of Lee may be sent online to www.lacannefuneralhome.com.    Lee Charles Severson was born April 6, 1968, in Windom, to Charles “Chuck” and Evangeline “Vangie” Deibert Severson. He grew up in Windom and graduated from Windom High School in 1986.

Lee attended college where he earned his degree as a CPA. Lee worked in Minneapolis and Jackson as a CPA for several years. After returning to Windom, he was employed by TORO Manufacturing and was a trustee for the Machinists Union 1956.

He was very active in supporting the High School athletics in Windom, attending many games and meets. The following are some quotes from friends and classmates:   “Lee had a great sense of humor and was a very kind soul”,  “Lee was very helpful to his neighbors”,  “Lee knew how to make others laugh and could brighten your day”,  “Lee was a good friend and a great person”,  “Lee was quiet at best, considerate always, and had a casual spirit”,  “Lee will be greatly missed by neighbors, friends, and classmates”.

Lee passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in his home of natural causes.

Lee is survived by one uncle, Donald (Claudia) Deibert; six cousins, Lauren (Pat) Russell, Brad (Sonja) Russell, Arlen Russell, Doug (Jill) Russell, Ann Deibert, Cara Brannan, and Marlys Peterson and other relatives. Blessed be the memory of Lee Charles Severson.

Lee was preceded in death by his father and mother, Chuck and Vangie Severson; grandparents, Ted and Lydia Deibert and Melvin and Tina (Penner) Severson; one aunt, Delores (Deibert) Russell: and one uncle, Everett Russell.
