At Tuesday’s meeting, Cottonwood County Commissioners got their first look at plans for a proposed Public Works Building, which would be located on County Road 15 near Windom.
Architect Dana Hlebichuk from Widseth, Inc. and project manager Larry Filippi from Contregrity were on hand to explain the plans.
The proposed facility would include main offices, apparatus and service bays in the main building. There also would be cold storage and other storage on site.
The main building would be roughly 38,000 square feet.
Additional features to the main building include a low-slope roof, a mezzanine for additional storage and conference rooms at the front of the building that would be available to the general public during off hours.
The board called a special meeting for next Tuesday to further discuss funding for the project.
