The design work for a new Subway restaurant with a drive-through in Windom is being finished, and the owners say work should start soon on the project.
The new facility will be located on a lot purchased between Hardee’s and the Red Carpet Inn and that deal closed in April.
“We can definitely fit it in there, and that was kind of the biggest challenge,” said Subway owner P.J. Miller. “The engineers and architects just got that planning done, so that’s a good thing.”
There is no groundbreaking date for construction set yet, but the owners hope to begin in the next 3-6 weeks. The project may take about 6-9 months to complete once construction begins.
