At Tuesday’s meeting, Cottonwood County Commissioners heard three requests to repurchase properties that are currently considered tax forfeitures.
The requests from Scott Arndtson, John Hoscheid and Sharon Drew, were given conditions.
Each has until July 5 to pay 10% of back taxes owed, as well as the taxes for the first half of the current year. A monthly payment plan would then be set up for the remaining back taxes, and each would have to pay the current year’s taxes on time.
Additionally, each would have 30 days to clean and repair the properties to a level deemed acceptable by the county auditor/treasurer.
More from Tuesday’s meeting will appear in the June 28 print and e-editions of the Citizen.
