William Lee Roghair, age 88, of Mountain Lake, MN passed away on June 3, 2023, at his home in Mountain Lake.
Visitation was on Saturday, June 10th, from 10am to 11am at the Missionary Alliance Church, Mountain Lake with the Funeral Service at 11 AM.
The clergy was Pastor Nik Strom. Interment was at the Mountain Lake City Cemetery.

William “Bill” Lee Roghair, son of Jacob and Mary (Rozeboom) Roghair was born March 15, 1935 near Sanborn, Iowa. He spent his first five years with his parents on the family farm. After a move to a farm north of Hartley, Iowa, Bill attended a rural country school. Bill graduated from the Public School in Hartley, Iowa where he was active in class plays, basketball, the National Honor Society, and FFA in 1953. Bill was awarded the American Farmer degree in 1955.
Bill was united in marriage to the love of his life, Shirley Jaeger, on June 6th 1956 in the First Baptist Church in Spencer, Iowa. They made their home on the farm north of Hartley until 1981 when they moved to Mountain Lake, Minnesota.
Bill and Shirley were very active the First Baptist Church in Spencer, Iowa where he served as Deacon, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Church Moderator, Pulpit and Building Committee member. Bill was also active in the community as Township Assessor, County Extension Council member and was a member of the Bald Eagles. As a part of the Alliance Missionary Church in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, Bill served as Church Elder, Assistant Treasurer, Pulpit and Building Committee member, and Adult Sunday School teacher. The work of the Lord was Bill’s main priority in life.
Bill and Shirley have seven children, fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. They love them all dearly and love spending time with them. Bill and Shirley loved to travel, go to plays, attend baseball games, and photography. They also loved the time they spent with their dear friends.
Bill Roghair passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 3rd 2023.
Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley Roghair; his children, Sheri Peters of Rochester, MN, Lt Col Neil (Danielle) Roghair of Lantana, TX, Terry (Sue) Roghair of Fairbault, MN, Lee Roghair of Excelsior, MN, Dr. Timothy Roghair of Clearwater, MN, Daniel Roghair of Excelsior, MN, Rachel (Mitch) Sanden of Omaha, NE; along with his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his infant brother, Jacob, and his brothers John, Marion, and Ronald.
