MCWBO at Section 2A South Meet
Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin had a handful of medalists but no state qualifiers after the Section 2A Meet, held Saturday at Mankato West High School.
Girls
The MCWBO girls were led by Katie Hartke, who finished fifth in the 3,200 (13:17.38).
The 4×100 relay team of Ava Thate, Aspen Kosbab, Avery Sanders and Lucy Larson placed seventh (53.73).
Boys
The Maverick boys were led by Ryan Pierson, who finished just out of a state qualifying spot by taking third in the 3,200 (10:10.14).
The 4×400 relay team of Joseph Forsberg, Kylar Larson, Jamesson Forsberg and Riley Cole finished fourth (3:38.11), while the 4×800 relay team of Cole, Pierson, Grant Koehnen and Jamesson Forsberg was fifth (8:43.63).
Max Olson added a seventh-place finish in the discus (129-5). Jamesson Forsberg was eighth in the 1,600 (4:52.14).
