At the recent Windom City Council meeting, John Peyerl, the chief financial officer of Windom Area Health, provided an overview of the hospital’s performance in recent years and said the hospital is taking positive steps forward in growth and service.
The income statement and fiscal year 2024 budget was accepted and approved by the council.
Partly due to the back log created by COVID, net income for Windom Area Health in 2022 was over $4.4 million. Projected income for 2023 is a little over $1.4 million. Peyerl projects the budgeted revenues and expenses in 2024 to both be approximately $27.7 million and revenue will depend on new services being invested in now for the coming years.
