Bob passed away January 26, 2023 in Montrose CO from cancer at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife Betty (Glasshoff) and son Monte. He was born in Los Angles California on February 13, 1942. He lived his early years in Missouri and Nebraska. His family moved to Denver, Colorado while in his teens and he lived there until he joined the Navy. He served for six years and returned to Denver for college. After college, he worked in the aluminum can manufacturing industry for the rest of his career. He and his partner sold their company in 2002 and he retired. He and Betty moved to Minnesota in 2003 to care for her mother. Here he began a new career as a metal artist. Using his plazma machine and other equipment, he was able to use his skills and artistic eye to design many pieces of art and home décor. He later started do railings and bigger projects. In 2011, Bob sold his equipment and both he and Betty retired and moved to Arizona but returned to Lake Shetek for the summers. They moved to Montrose, Colorado in September, 2021 to be closer to his son and his family. A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held on June 4th from 1 to 4 at the Breezy Barn Tavern located at 52 Tepeeotah Road, Tracy, MN.
