TUESDAY GOLF: Eagles, Cardinals split

Eagle boys 159, Cardinals 169

Cardinals 179, Eagle girls 209

Windom and Redwood Valley picked up a split in a dual meet held Tuesday at the Windom Country Club, with the Eagle boys and Cardinal girls picking up wins.

The Eagle boys outshot the Cardinals 159-169, while the Cardinals defeated the Eagles 179-209. It was the first time all season the Eagle girls had fielded a complete team.

For the boys, Eli Lund and Carter Rossow and Redwood’s Lincoln Ourada shared medalist honors, each shooting a 39. Landon Pillatzki added a 40 and Greyson Elder had a 41 for the Eagles.

For the girls, Miranda Cory led the Eagles with a 44. Ada Lund had a 46. Ali Lund shot a 56 and Olivia Joyce scored a 63.

Red Rock Conference Meet #3

The Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda/Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys and Murray CountyCentral girls took top team honors at Tuesday’s third Red Rock Conference Meet, with the boys playing at Westbrook and the girls at Slayton.

For the boys, HLOF/WWG shot a 318. Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey was fourth with a 367. Red Rock Central was seventh with a 410.

For the girls, MCC scored a 448 for the win. RRC and MLAC each played incomplete.

Devyn Rempel led the MLAC boys, finishing with an 89. Layken Marcy and Grant Oakland each shot a 92. Joey Faber added a 94.

Gavin Willardson led RRC with a 98. Charles Dammann shot a 100, followed by Bode Determan with a 102 and Corey Arkell with a 110.

For the girls, Aryanna Weber led RRC with a 112. Bailey Timm shot a 137 and Paige Wondercheck had a 191.

Johnna Gardiner was the lone girl for MLAC, finishing with a 136.
