Windom sophomore Kaylee Walklin’s name is already in the Eagle track school record books, but Saturday, those books got an update at the Howard Wood Relays in Sioux Falls.
Walklin broke her own school record in the 1,600-meter run, finishing with a time of 5:17.66. That put her in 13th place out of 47 runners in the event.
On Friday, Walklin ran a season-best time of 11:29.62 to finish 14th in the 3,200-meter run.
The Eagles’ other participant over the weekend in Sioux Falls was senior Elliot Espenson, who placed 19th out of 39 participants in the girls shot put with a toss of 37-2.
