THURSDAY TRACK: Eagle girls win at Worthington

Windom and Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central each took part in a triangular meet held Thursday at Worthington.
Windom’s girls won the meet with 66½ points, while WWG/RRC was third with 39.
Windom’s boys took second in the meet with 73 points while WWG/RRC was third with 27. Worthington won the meet with 86 points.
Windom’s girls were led by a pair of two-event winners. Elliot Espenson won the shot put (37-7¼) and discus (91-1) and was second in the triple jump (30-10½). Victoria Robillard won the 400 (1:10.50) and 800 (2:46.42) and took second in the pole vault (7-6).
Ava Van Norman added a win in the 100 (13.91) and was second in the 200 (29.16). Haidyn Sammons won the 1,600 (6:20.13). Emma Holtz was second in the high jump (4-4). The team of Aubri Spielman, Jesselle Sosa, Chloe Shamp and Jocelyn Lopez won the 4×400 (5:37.29) and the team of Zyanya Gendreau, Hannah Dauer, Sammons and Robillard won the 4×800 (10:50.47).
For the Windom boys, Bryan Macario Rios won the 400 (55.09). Aaden Nauman won the 1,600 (4:59.50). Jacob Green won the 3,200 (11:37.52). Thomas Green won the high jump (5-7). Charlie Smith won the pole vault (9-6). The team of Job Ogeka, Noah Steffen, James Erickson and Eli Freiwald won the 4×200 (1:38.66) and the team of Nauman, Smith, Thomas Green and Braylen Lyons won the 4×400 (3:53.88).
Kevin Bleess took second in the 200 (24.08) and long jump (17-9). Jose Rodas was second in the shot put (39-3¾) and discus (117-1). Smith was second in the 400 (55.52). Elias Jensen was second in the high jump (5-2).
WWG/RRC’s girls were led by Anna Byers, who won the high jump (4-6) and took second in the 100 hurdles (20.54) and 300 hurdles (59.17). Liv Locke added a win in the long jump (17-5) with Amelia Sikel taking second (14-6). Elizabeth Meiner was second in the 400 (1:26.82). Celia Vogel took second in the 800 (2:54.57). Miranda Mischke was second in the 1,600 (6:22.81).
For the Charger boys, Kole Curry won the 200 (23.72) and was second in the 100 (11.62). Bowen Hesse added a win in the 110 hurdles (18.72). Ben Yang finished second in the pole vault (9-0).
