The Mt. Lake city council will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m., at the city hall council chambers.
The council will hold a first reading of a possible ordinance change, that would set designated hours of 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. for parks within the city limits.
The proposed ordinance would be designed to prevent noisy gatherings in city parks during nighttime hours, particularly in parks close to residential areas.
A second reading for the proposed ordinance will be held at the May 15 meeting, with potential passage of the ordinance at the June 5 council meeting.
