Earlier this year, the Windom City Council learned the power house will be reconfigured to hold two new generators (a purchase approved last September) — necessary equipment that simply is larger these days. Basically, the generators will go into a new building where the truck shed is currently located and a new truck shed will be built just north of the power house.
That means people will see a major tear-down, plus two big construction projects at the power house. All told — including the new generators valued at $3.5 million — at least $9 million.
