RV Invite
The Windom girls and boys track teams each placed sixth in the team standings at the Redwood Valley Invitational, held Tuesday at Redwood Falls.
Windom’s girls scored 46½ points. Canby-Minneota won the meet with 115. The Eagle boys finished with 52 points. Redwood Valley won the meet with 119.
Windom’s girls were led by Elliot Espenson, who placed first in the shot put (37-4), third in the discus (92-2) and fourth in the long jump (14-9).
Kaylee Walklin added a victory in the 1,600 (5:30.60).
Windom’s team of Victoria Robillard, Hannah Dauer, Haidyn Sammons and Emily Elston took third in the 4×800 (10:32.75). Robillard added a fourth-place finish in the 800 (2:44.16).
For the boys, Charlie Smith placed second in the pole vault (10-0). Bryan Macario Rios was second in the 400 (53.75). Windom’s team of Aaden Nauman, Smith, Thomas Green and Macario Rios placed second in the 4×800 (8:48.34). The team of Job Ogeka, Kevin Bleess, James Erickson and Macario Rios placed second in the 4×200 (1:38.80).
Bleess placed third in the long jump (18-8). Ogeka was third in the triple jump (38-0). Nauman finished fourth in the 1,600 (4:54.55).
St. James Quad
Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey’s boys were third and girls fourth in a four-team meet Tuesday at St. James.
MLAC’s boys scored 48 points. Worthington won the meet with 106.
The Wolverine girls finished with 19 points. Fairmont won the meet with 152.
Meghan Johnson led the MLAC girls, earning runner-up finishes in the 1,600 (6:13.59) and 3,200 (13:36.95). Paige McMullen took second in the 100 (14.11). Hannah Beyer was third in the 1,600 (6:17.94). Michala Morin was fourth in the high jump (4-6).
For the boys, the team of Jordan Linscheid, Kody Wassman, Zach Klassen and Ethan Schroeder won the 4×400 (3:37.83). The team of Luke Klassen, Alex Karschnik, Evan Karschnik and Layne Wall was second in the 4×200 (1:42.27) and the team of Carter Olson, Wassman, Zach Klassen and Schroeder was second in the 4×800 (8:33.49).
Zach Klassen added an individual win in the 400 (53.44) with Olson second (54.44) and Wassman fourth (54.84). Schroeder was third in the 800 (2:07.11). Linscheid took third in the 100 (12.00) and 200 (24.57) and fourth in the triple jump (37-5). Alex Karschnik was third in the high jump (5-4) and long jump (19-5). Wall took third in the triple jump (38-3). Luke Klassen was fourth in the pole vault (7-0).
Davidson Invite
Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central’s girls and boys each finished seventh in the team standings at the Davidson Invite, held Tuesday in Slayton.
WWG/RRC’s girls scored 15 points. Southwest Christian/Edgerton won the meet with 165. The Charger boys finished with 14 points. SWCE won the meet with 139.
WWG/RRC’s girls were led by Evelyn Rentschler, who placed third in the pole vault (6-0) and fourth in the 100 hurdles (19.42).
Ben Yang led the Charger boys, taking second in the pole vault (9-0).
