This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota.
As part of the week, a pair of simulated tornado warnings will be issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 1:45 and 6:45 p.m.
The simulated warnings are meant to allow people to practice what they would do in the event of a tornado — first at work or school, then at home.
Sirens typically will sound and weather radios will perform their weekly tests at those times.
