The Windom baseball team struggled to find timely hits and couldn’t slow down Blue Earth Area’s offense Tuesday, dropping a 19-3 decision at Island Park.
The Bucs led 4-1 in the fifth inning when they pushed five runs across the plate, building a 9-1 lead.
BEA then plated 10 runs in the top of the seventh.
Windom got on the board in the bottom of the first, scoring when Drew Rothenberger plated a run when he reached on an error.
Down 9-1 in the fifth, the Eagles cut into the deficit on an RBI single from Rothenberger and a passed ball.
Quintin Tietz had three hits in the Eagle loss. Rothenberger added a pair of hits and two RBI.
Chayton Struck worked the first four innings on the mound, taking the loss. He allowed six runs on six hits, walked three and struck out one.

Murray County Central’s offense hammered out 14 hits Tuesday afternoon, as the Rebels rolled to an 11-1 win over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey at Slayton.
The Wolverines got on the scoreboard in the top of the first. Joey Faber reached on an error and scored on a Jake Evers RBI single.
But MCC answered with three in the bottom of the first, then slowly pulled away to seal the victory. Meanwhile, the Wolverines only had three more baserunners the entire game, with two coming in their final at-bat.
Evers had two hits for the Wolverines in the loss.
Alex Blom took the pitching loss, working the first four innings. He allowed eight runs on 11 hits, walked two and struck out five.
