Brian Duncan

A Celebration of Life Service for Brian Duncan, age 59, of Bingham Lake and Windom, will be held Thursday, April 20th at 1:00 PM at the Gathering Church in Bingham Lake, with Pastor Russ Stillman officiating. The burial will be held at a later date in the Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.

A time of visitation and gathering will be held on Thursday, April 20th from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Gathering Church in Bingham Lake.

Brian Duncan passed away on Saturday, April 15th, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Brian Lee Duncan was born on May 24, 1963, in Windom, Minnesota to Allen and Maxine (Crouse) Duncan. He was baptized and confirmed at the American Lutheran Church in Windom. Brian received his early education at Winfair Elementary School in Windom before graduating from Windom High School in the Class of 1981. After graduating, Brian attended Jackson Vo-Tech in telephone communications. Through the years, Brian worked as a welder, mostly on grain bins and did cable installations.

He was a member of the model airplane club. Brian will be remembered as always being on the move, very musical and enjoyed Boy Scouts in his earlier years. He had many enjoyments in life which included fishing, canoeing, campfires, camping, watching the Minnesota Vikings and NASCAR along with playing summer baseball and town hockey in his earlier years.

Brian is survived by his parents, Allen and Maxine Duncan of Windom; three siblings, Gregory A. Duncan of Kiester, SD, Lori (Daniel) Collin of Windom, and Julie (Joseph) Schwalbach of Midland, TX; nieces and nephews, Benjamin (Erin) Collin, Emily (Jacob Alsdurf) Collin, Joseph (Lauren) Schwalbach, Jr.; Jamie (Daniel Dowdy) Schwalbach, John (Emily Halsch) Schwalbach, James Collins, Cora McKinney, Abra Dowdy, and Gus Schwalbach.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvah and Ruby Duncan, and Ralph and Marie Crouse; and sister, LeAnn Lynn.
