A Celebration of Life Service for Laura “Becky” Meyers, age 96, of Windom, will be held Saturday, March 18th at 12:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Windom, with Pastor Mike McInnis officiating. Burial will be at the Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.
A time of visitation and gathering will be held on Saturday, March 18th from 11-12 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Windom.

Laura “Becky” Meyers was born on June 6, 1926, in Southbrook Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota, to Frank and Lorinda (Greenfield) Becker. She attended Red, White, and Blue one room schoolhouse and graduated from Heron Lake High School in 1944. After high school, she began working in Des Moines as a teletype operator in support of the war effort before returning to the Windom area.
On October 7, 1947, Becky and Warren “Bud” Meyers were united in marriage at the Catholic Parsonage in Windom, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Douglas, David, and Daniel. She dedicated 33 years of service at Northwestern Bell as a Chief Operator before her retirement. Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending her time traveling, golfing, and reading.
Becky was an active member of the First United Methodist Church serving as a treasurer and on the funeral committee. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Hospital Auxiliary, the Windom Grey Ladies, Red Hatters, and Business and Professional Women (BPW) group.
Becky passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023, at Pine View Assisted Living in Windom, Minnesota.
Becky is survived by her three children, Doug (Jean) Meyers of Hudson, WI, Dave Meyers of Windom, MN, Dan (Jerrie Ferrier) of Maple Grove, MN; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Katherine Beers of Worthington, MN and Betty (Rick) Reese of Bemidji; sister-in-law, Edna Becker of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren “Bud” Meyers; four brothers, Paul (Agnes) Becker, Gene Becker, Lawrence (Marilyn) Becker, and Leroy (Joan) Becker; sister, Darlene (Don) Meyer.
