A Celebration of Life Service for Lynn Arndt, age 75, of Jeffers, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21st at the Jeffers United Methodist Church in Jeffers, with Pastor Cathy Hoffbeck officiating. Burial will follow at the Jeffers Cemetery.
A time of visitation and gathering will be held on Friday, April 21st from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the church in Jeffers. Arrangements are under the care of the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom. Condolences and memories of Lynn may be sent online to www.lacannefuneralhome.com.
Lynn Joy (Krahn) Arndt was born on January 15, 1948, to the late LeRoy and Betty Lou (Ludeman) Krahn, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. She graduated from Jeffers High School in the class of 1966. She continued her education, earning a bachelor’s degree in education/business from the University of Minnesota in 1969.
Lynn began teaching at New London-Spicer School District 345 from 1969-1981. In 1980, she married Dean Arndt. The couple soon returned to Jeffers, where Lynn taught grade 9-12 Business/Social Studies at Westbrook High School. Dean passed away in 2002. Lynn retired in 2011 from the consolidated district, Westbrook-Walnut Grove School, after dedicating more than 40 years to educating youth. Lynn was actively involved in Education Minnesota, the voice for professional educators and students, as well as the MN Business Teacher’s Association.
Lynn was a dedicated member of the Jeffers United Methodist Church, where she was actively involved. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Jeffers Senior Citizens.
In her retirement, Lynn enjoyed her second home in San Tan Valley Arizona. She was an avid professional and collegiate sports fan and enjoyed being with friends and family.
