Apmann remains missing

It appears Ralph Leslie Apmann is still missing.

A source with the Windom Police Department is reporting that there is no new information regarding the whereabouts of Apmann, 58, who on Tuesday was found guilty of second-degree murder without intent.

Apmann posted $150,000 bail in September of 2021. However, he failed to appear in court Monday morning, but the jury trial continued without him.

A report received yesterday afternoon from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension stated that Apmann was believed to be in the Twin Cities area.

“Apmann is believed to be armed with a 9mm handgun and an AR-15 rifle. Investigators believe Apmann may be in the Twin Cities metro area,” said the Minnesota BCA report. “Ralph Leslie Apmann has a felony warrant for 2nd degree homicide and failure to appear for jury trial. If you have seen Ralph Leslie Apmann or know his whereabouts, do not approach. Please call 9-1-1.”
