Citizen Online has learned from Assistant Police Chief Cory Hillesheim that, the missing defendant in a second-degree murder case in Windom, Ralph Apmann of Windom, was last seen by a family member at 8 a.m. this morning.
A warrant is out for the arrest of Apmann, who had posted $150,000 bail in the Fall of 2021. He was scheduled to be in court this morning at 9 a.m. and did not show up.
Police have been searching wooded areas in town, according to Hillesheim. A drone was used earlier this morning as part of that search, which included Perkins Creek, the Windom Environmental Center and other wooded areas of town. The drone has since landed, but Hillesheim said it may be used again.
Apmann did not have an ankle bracelet, or any other type of court-ordered tracking device.
