The Windom girls basketball team rallied late and held on at the end Tuesday night, claiming a 57-54 victory over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey at Windom.
The Wolverines held a brief one-point lead in the closing minutes before the Eagles regained the lead on a Hannah Dauer three-pointer.
Free throws then lifted the Eagle lead back to three points in the closing seconds, when a potential tying three-point try by the Wolverines fell off the back iron.
The Eagles finished the game 14-of-18 from the line, which helped offset 10 three-pointers by the Wolverines.
Alivia Letcher led the Eagles with 16 points in the win. Dauer and Hadley Sammons each scored 12 points and Haidyn Sammons added 10.
Brooke Naas led MLAC with 20 points. Julia Brinkman added 12 points.Â
