The Windom boys basketball team shook off a sluggish start Tuesday night behind a record-breaking performance in a 108-94 victory over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey at Windom.
MLAC scored the game’s first eight points and raced to a 21-10 lead in the early stages of the game before Windom’s offense hit high gear behind a barrage of three-pointers in the first half. Windom finished the game hitting 11 treys in the game, with eight coming in the opening half.
The hot shooting from the outside lifted the Eagles to a 62-59 lead at halftime.
Windom opened the second half strong, building the lead up to 11 points before MLAC whittled the lead down to four.
But down the stretch, Eagle senior Henry Erickson took over the game. Erickson broke his own Windom single-game scoring record, scoring 28 of his 46 points in the second half, including going 10-of-11 from the free throw line.
Greyson Elder hit seven three-pointers to finish with 21 points in the win. Drew Rothenberger added 16 points and Abe McKibbin scored 13.
Alex Karschnik led the Wolverines with 26 points. Carter Olson scored 18, Kody Wassman had 17 and both Ashton Toll and Grant Oakland scored 13 in the loss.

Edgerton 13-31 = 44
Red Rock Central was firing on all cylinders early Tuesday night, building a 24-point halftime lead on its way to a 62-44 victory at Edgerton.
RRC hit five three-pointers in the first half while holding the Dutchmen to five made field goals. That allowed the Falcons to race to a commanding lead.
A foul-filled second half saw the teams combine for 32 free throws.
Ashton Juhnke led RRC with 14 points in the win. Austin Senst added a career-high 10 points.Â
