The Windom Eagle boys basketball team was hot from the field and from the free throw line Tuesday night, rolling to its eighth straight victory with a 107-83 win at St. James.
The Eagles shot 52% from the field for the game, hitting 17-of-35 from three-point range in the game. Windom also went 10-of-12 from the free throw line.
The game started slowly before the Eagles got their running game going, quickly turning defensive rebounds and turnovers into points to build a 23-8 lead early in the game.
The Eagles continued to hit from the outside throughout the first half, with four double-figure scorers before halftime to take a 58-33 halftime lead.
In the second half, the Eagles were able to get the lead as high as 30 before the Saints cut into the deficit in the final nine minutes.
Abe McKibbin led the Eagles with 20 points. Henry Erickson had 18 points and 14 rebounds. Greyson Elder added 18 points, Drew Rothenberger scored 16 and Bryan Macario Rios added 12.

Red Rock Central couldn’t overcome a slow start Tuesday night, as conference-leading Westbrook-Walnut Grove raced to a 57-41 victory at Westbrook.
The Falcons struggled against WWG’s tight defense in the first half, as WWG built a commanding 15-point lead.
RRC warmed up from the field in the second half, but WWG was able to capitalize on 19 Falcon turnovers to maintain its lead.
Ashton Juhnke, Jayden Lang and Isaac Simonson each scored eight points in the loss for the Falcons.Â
