THURSDAY GIRLS BASKETBALL: YME stings Falcon girls

YME 26-36 = 62
RRC 14-30 = 44

The Red Rock Central girls basketball team fell behind early and couldn’t bounce back Thursday night, dropping a 62-44 decision to Yellow Medicine East in Lamberton.

YME held the Falcons to 25% shooting from the field for the game. The Sting were aided by hot outside shooting, as YME drained 10 three-pointers in the game.

Sondra Rindfleisch led RRC with eight points in the loss. Reilly Hubin finished with eight points.

Two games postponed

Two games in the area were postponed last night due to school closures and poor road conditions.

Windom’s scheduled home game against Luverne was rescheduled for Feb. 13, which created a bit of schedule juggling. Windom’s previously-scheduled game on Feb. 13 against Martin County West was moved to Feb. 14, and will be part of a girl-boy doubleheader, as the boys host Pipestone that night.

Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey’s game against Cedar Mountain in Morgan was postponed and has not yet been rescheduled.

Next games: Check for updates after each game.
Windom: at Luverne, Jan. 20
MLAC: at HBC (Hills), Jan. 20
RRC: at HLOF (Fulda), Jan. 24
