Red Rock Central’s defense and interior play led the way Saturday night as the Falcons claimed a 55-35 victory at Wabasso.
RRC held Wabasso to 23% shooting for the night and recorded 10 steals as a team.
Meanwhile, RRC was effective at pounding the ball inside. Corey Arkell scored a game-high 16 points, while Isaac Simonson added eight of his 10 points in the second half.
Ashton Juhnke added 11 points and Jayden Lang scored 10 in the win.

MLAC 26-24 = 50
Westbrook-Walnut Grove took control in the second half with a balanced attack Friday night, pulling away for a 63-50 victory over Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey in Mt. Lake.
The Wolverines trailed by five at halftime, then saw WWG go 7-of-8 from the free throw line late to seal the victory.
Carter Olson led the Wolverines with 18 points. Kody Wassman added eight points in the loss.

MCC 40-32 = 72
Murray County Central controlled the interior Friday night, battering Red Rock Central for a 72-38 victory in Slayton.
The Rebels outscored RRC 48-16 in the paint for the game. MCC shot 48% from the field, compared to 25% for the Falcons.
Corey Arkell led RRC with 10 points. Jake Jackson added nine points in the loss.Â
