Cobras fall twice
The Windom-Mt. Lake wrestling team took a pair of losses Thursday night in a triangular held at Hector.
The Cobras lost their opener 56-18 to Hutchinson, then fell 45-31 to Delano.
Against Hutchinson, the Cobras had falls from Preston Xayachak (106) and Jared Hunter (132). Kameron Koerner (120) and Tucker Renquist (138) added decision wins.
Against Delano, the Cobras raced to a 31-3 lead, but Delano won the final seven weight classes with five falls and two forfeits.
Hunter (132), Renquist (138) and Noah Holmberg (145) won by fall. Xayachak (106) won by major decision. Matthew Voehl (113) won by decision and the Cobras had one forfeit victory.
Falcons drop two
Red Rock Central took a pair of losses Thursday night in a triangular held at Lamberton.
The Falcons opened with a 39-33 loss to Benson, then dropped a 50-22 decision to Quad County.
Against Benson, RRC had falls from Evan Bartholomaus (138), Bode Determan (160), Austin Cowan (182) and Keaton Skarupa (285). Carter Beranek (145) won by decision and RRC had one forfeit win.
Against Quad County, the Falcons had falls from Bartholomaus (138) and Beranek (145). Vander Mathiowetz (195) won by major decision and RRC had one forfeit win.
