Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey came out firing Thursday night, building an early lead and never letting up in a 68-51 win at Edgerton.
The Wolverines effectively slowed down the Dutchmen offense while racing to the early lead. The Wolverine defense held Edgerton to one field goal over a six-minute stretch, which allowed MLAC to take a 14-point halftime lead.
MLAC’s defense continued to lead the way in the second half, holding Edgerton scoreless for a five-minute stretch.
Carter Olson led the Wolverines with 18 points. Kody Wassman scored 13 and Grant Oakland and Ashton Toll each added 12.
