Donations for the proposed Windom Veterans Memorial project have been steadily coming in recent weeks.
Board members from the Windom Area Foundation, which is the project host for the Memorial fund, report that increased costs and landscaping needs moved the target goal to $85,000.
According to Justin Schmit, treasurer for WAF, the fund received another $1,600 in donations since Dec. 15, bringing the fund within $7,485 of the final goal. The project relies 100% on donations.
