Lloyd “Jingles” Pfeiffer

A Celebration of Life Service for Lloyd “Jingles” Pfeiffer, age 81, of rural Windom, will be held Sat., Jan. 7th at 1:00 P.M. at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom, with Pastor Adam Roberts officiating.

A time of visitation and gathering will be held on Fri., Jan. 6th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom. Visitation will continue Saturday for one-hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at the Lacanne Family Celebration of Life Center.

Lloyd “Jingles” Joseph Pfeiffer was born December 24, 1940, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, to the late Andrew and Martha (Slinger) Pfeiffer. He was confirmed in his youth at St. Augustine in Jeffers, Minnesota. Lloyd attended Windom High School and graduated in the class of 1958.

After high school, Lloyd married Lieselotte Ofenloch. The marriage ended in divorce. Lloyd had four children, Heinz, Wolfgang, Joanna, and Monica. Lloyd worked for 20 years with Kruse Paving and retired in 2005. Over the years, Lloyd also worked as a truck driver, he farmed and worked for farmers, and he worked at Mt. Lake Implement, Caldwell Packing, and Needham Packing in Sioux City, IA.

Lloyd enjoyed playing the concertina, farming, working on vintage tractors, and especially spending time with Sue and family.

Lloyd fought a courageous battle with cancer. On Wed., Dec, 21st, Lloyd passed away peacefully in his home, under hospice care, at the age of 81.

Left to cherish Lloyd’s memory is his life-partner, Susan Swenson; children, Heinz (Karen) Volker of Vadnais Heights, MN, Wolfgang Volker of Farmington, MN, Joanna Vaala of Gold Canyon, AZ, and Monica (Dave) Moore of Rogers, MN; seven grandchildren, Anika, Jaden, Sydney, Jake, Courtney, Grant and Lexi; four great-grandchildren, Trenton, Easton, Zaydn, and Teagan; siblings, Gene (Darla) Pfeiffer of Windom, Marilyn (Meru) Henke of Owatonna, MN, John (Jan) Pfeiffer of Rushmore, MN, and Susan Ware of Westbrook, MN; as well as Susan’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Stan Ware.
