A hot-shooting Redwood Valley team pulled away from the Windom boys basketball team in the second half Friday night, claiming a 107-86 victory at Redwood Falls.
The Cardinals held a four-point halftime lead, but ran away from the Eagles in the second half thanks to 16 three-pointers as a team. The Cardinals shot 56% from the field as a team for the game, and hit 53% from three-point range.
Henry Erickson led the Eagles with 24 points. Drew Rothenberger added 21 points and Abe McKibbin finished with 15.

Red Rock Central got off to a slow start and never fully recovered Saturday, falling 61-50 to Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s in Lamberton.
The Knights worked well in transition in the first half, staking themselves to an 11-point lead. St. Mary’s then held off a late Falcon surge in the second half by crashing the offensive glass. The Knights had 17 offensive rebounds and outrebounded RRC 43-31 for the game.
Isaac Simonson and Ashton Juhnke each finished with 14 points to lead the Falcons.
St. James 33-30 = 63
MLAC 38-22 = 60
A 17-point second half lead evaporated for the Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey boys basketball team Friday, as St. James rallied for a 63-60 victory in Comfrey.
MLAC led by five at halftime and started the second half strong, stretching the lead to 17. But the Saints rallied late thanks to a strong shooting night and a dominant performance at the line.
The Saints hit 16-of-20 free throws for the game, compared to 2-of-10 for the Wolverines. St. James went 9-of-11 from the line in the second half to seal the win.
Kody Wassman led MLAC with 19 points. Carter Olson added 13 in the loss.Â
