Although voting has been over for at least an hour, Windom results remain unknown.
However, one thing is clear — it was a busy day at the Windom Community Center, election headquarters.
“It was pretty steady all day,” said Denise Nichols, head election judge at the site.
As of 8 p.m., the total count on the site’s two machines was roughly 1,370. That does not include absentee ballots.
Nichols said there appeared to be a large number of new registrations this year, more than usual.
Area residents have an eye on the battle for a Ward 2, two-year term featuring Scott Benson and incumbent Lisa Farag.
