Anticipation soars for Gala, piano duo

Ticket sales are as brisk as ever for the upcoming Windom Area Chamber of Commerce Gala.

As the Nov. 11 ticket deadline approaches, Chamber Executive Tyann Marcy says a 320-ticket sellout is a real possibility.

“People love it,” Marcy said late last week. “I really think having it on a Friday night has more appeal to people. This is the first time in the Gala’s history it will be held on a Friday night.”

It also helps that the headline event is “Dueling Duo,” a dueling piano show that the Chamber also sponsored for a Valentine’s night event at Round Lake Winery earlier this year.

“Dueling Duo is super fun and high energy,” Marcy said. “The stage will be in the middle of the room and they’ll be surrounded by tables.

The night begins with a social hour, including appetizers, from 5 to 6 p.m. The “Wine Wall” and “Desert Wall are back for 2022.

A full meal, catered by Hi-Lo Club of Lakefield, will follow, along with the Gala ceremony featuring updates about the Chamber, awards and more. Marcy said this will not be as lengthy as in the past.

The Dueling Duo show is expected to run two hours.
