The Red Rock Central volleyball team saw its season come to an end Monday night, following a hard-fought 3-0 loss at Edgerton in the Section 3A playoffs.
The Falcons came out strong in the opening set, jumping to an early lead. But the Dutchmen battled back, eventually tying the set up in the late stages before eventually claiming a 30-28 victory.
Edgerton carried that momentum into the second set, winning 25-18. The Falcons tried to mount a comeback in the third set but ran out of gas late, as Edgerton pulled away for a 25-20 victory.
Abby Evans led the Falcons with three ace serves on 15-of-17 serving. Jada Radmaker was 9-of-9 with an ace. Emily DeCock went 12-of-14 with an ace and Reilly Hubin was 5-of-7 with an ace.
Radmaker led the Falcons at the net with nine kills. Sondra Rindfleisch added six kills.
DeCock finished with 21 set assists and had a team-high 16 digs.
