Windom’s boys were third in the small-school division, while a shorthanded girls team took sixth at Tuesday’s Big South Conference Meet, held at Cedar Creek Park in Fairmont.
Runners from the large and small schools all ran together, with the results indicating the combined finishes.
Windom’s boys finished with 113 team points in the combined meet. Luverne won the small school division with 84 points.
The Eagle girls finished with 244 points. Luverne won the small school division with 91.
Windom’s boys had one all-conference finisher. Thomas Green placed seventh in the small-school division with a time of 17:12. Aaden Nauman was 10th (17:27), Charlie Smith 11th (17:28) and Jacob Green 13th (17:41), for each to earn honorable mention. Eli Bordewyk was 23rd (18:41).
Windom’s girls were without their top two runners, Kaylee Walklin and Chloe Shamp, due to illness. Alivia Letcher led the Eagle girls, finishing 15th in the small-school division with a time of 22:30. She was followed by Charlotte Nauman in 17th (22:50), Jesselle Sosa in 27th (23:29), Victoria Robillard in 34th (24:33) and Ella Smith in 36th (24:38).
