Dragon Invite
The Windom boys took fourth and the girls fifth at the Dragon Invitational, held Tuesday at the Adrian Country Club. It marked the Eagles’ fourth meet in an eight-day stretch.
The Eagle boys finished with 111 points. Worthington won the team title with 54 points.
Windom’s girls scored 124 points. Murray County Central-Fulda won the team title with 34.
Windom’s boys were led by Thomas Green, who captured 13th place with a time of 19:03. Aaden Nauman was 14th (19:04), followed by Charlie Smith in 19th (19:21), Jacob Green in 28th (20:01) and Hayden Lensing in 42nd (20:52).
Kaylee Walklin paced the Eagle girls, finishing in fourth place (20:14). Charlotte Nauman took 21st (24:27), followed by Alivia Letcher in 25th (25:05), Zyanya Gendreau in 39th (25:48) and Emma Holtz in 47th (26:37).
Buc Invite
Mt. Lake Area’s girls finished second and the boys took fourth at the Buc Invitational, held Tuesday at Blue Earth.
The format of the meet was different than typical meets, with varsity girls and boys races run in heats. The team with the lowest combined time of its top seven runners won the meet.
MLA’s girls finished with a total time of 2:49.42. Fairmont won the meet with a total time of 2:48.38.
MLA’s boys had a total time of 2:24.20. St. James won the team title with a total time of 2:14.49.
MLA’s girls were led by Lydia Rete, who placed fifth in her heat and had a team-best time of 22:17. Julia Brinkman was seventh in the heat and had a time of 22:39.
Hannah Beyer won Heat B and ha d a time of 23:46, followed by Celia Vogel in second in Heat B with a time of 23:52.
Annika Brinkman won Heat A with a time of 25:49.
For the boys, Kody Wassman took second in Heat C with a team-best time of 17:50. Zach Klassen was fourth in the heat with a time of 18:20.
Ethan Schroeder was ninth in Heat B with a time of 20:51.
Chase Radtke took eighth in Heat A with a time of 23:19.
