The 2022-23 school year is only a few days old and Windom school leaders are already excited about what they are seeing.
The Windom School Board got a good taste of that positive energy at Monday night’s regular meeting.
“The first week of school went really well,” said Superintendent Jamie Frank. “We will have the first day enrollment numbers soon. They are not quite ready yet.”
Frank added that the district’s new family and community engagement specialist, which was funded through a Remick Foundation grant, had a big impact in helping make sure everyone was comfortable in school buildings.
Meanwhile, Elementary Principal Dane Nielsen said there was plenty of positive energy as school got underway.
“We are off and running and it has been a fabulous, fabulous few days,” Nielsen said. “And, our first Friday Finale is this Friday, so we will be able to celebrate all of the things we’ve already done.”
